Home Sustainability
Our approach here at Global to sustainability is three-fold:
Inferior windows, doors and roofing ends up in landfill far sooner than necessary due to poor quality product, poor installation or not being serviced or maintained adequately. With sustainability in mind, we are committed to manufacturing quality products that will be loved and that will last far beyond our extended guarantee periods of up to 20 years. And if, in the unlikely event an emergency occurs, our trained technicians will repair the problem if all possible.
Because we manufacture and install our windows and doors ourselves, we can ensure we are using sustainable materials with complete oversight of recycling. We are embarking on a new initiative, working with a reputable partner to repurpose old window and door frames from customers’ homes as well as PVC offcuts from our factory into high-quality construction products for reuse. We want to promote a world where uPVC serves generations in Ireland – creating Irish jobs, supporting a circular economy in construction and reducing landfill impact.
As a second-generation family-owned Irish business serving Irish customers for 45 years, we are committed to Ireland, it’s people and our built and natural heritage. We plant one Native Irish tree for each of our customers at Ireland’s largest Private Rewilding Project – Dunsany Castle and Nature Reserve in Co Meath. With our tree planting partners, Irish Trees, and together with our customers, we are creating a legacy woodland, a home to a biodiverse range of trees, plants, animals, insects, moss and fungus. A wild and abundant habitat for centuries to come.
