Committed to our Natural & Built Heritage

Our approach here at Global to sustainability is three-fold:

  1. We design, manufacture and expertly install product that’s loved, and that lasts – by using the best materials available, sourced locally whenever possible. And we back our workmanship with an unmatched aftercare service including 20 Year Unlimited Guarantee and 365 Global Emergency Assist Service to ensure it lasts.
  2. At the forefront of pioneering sustainable construction practices, we repurpose old window and door frames from customers’ homes as well as offcuts from our factory for reuse in new home builds.
  3. We plant a Native Irish tree at Ireland’s largest Private Rewilding Project – Dunsany Castle and Nature Reserve in Co Meath, for every customer home we transform. In partnership with Irish Trees, and together with our customers, we are creating a legacy woodland, a wild and biodiverse habitat for centuries to come.
Global's approach to sustainability - create products that last
We make product that's loved

Inferior windows, doors and roofing ends up in landfill far sooner than necessary due to poor quality product, poor installation or not being serviced or maintained adequately. With sustainability in mind, we are committed to manufacturing quality products that will be loved and that will last far beyond our extended guarantee periods of up to 20 years. And if, in the unlikely event an emergency occurs, our trained technicians will repair the problem if all possible.

We repurpose window & door frames for use in new builds

Because we manufacture and install our windows and doors ourselves, we can ensure we are using sustainable materials with complete oversight of recycling. We are embarking on a new initiative, working with a reputable partner to repurpose old window and door frames from customers’ homes as well as PVC offcuts from our factory into high-quality construction products for reuse. We want to promote a world where uPVC serves generations in Ireland – creating Irish jobs, supporting a circular economy in construction and reducing landfill impact.

Supporting & investing in our natural heritage

As a second-generation family-owned Irish business serving Irish customers for 45 years, we are committed to Ireland, it’s people and our built and natural heritage. We plant one Native Irish tree for each of our customers at Ireland’s largest Private Rewilding Project – Dunsany Castle and Nature Reserve in Co Meath. With our tree planting partners, Irish Trees, and together with our customers, we are creating a legacy woodland, a home to a biodiverse range of trees, plants, animals, insects, moss and fungus. A wild and abundant habitat for centuries to come.
